Dr. Dowell discusses the medical perspectives of lupus fatigue, including factors that contribute to the the condition and how diet, exercise and sleep play a role. Dr. Dowell also describes how fatigue influences mood and may contribute to depression and anxiety.
Arnita Roberts-Christie, RN, BSN, MSN – Patient Engagement Liaison for GSK
Ms. Roberts-Christie provides an overview of lupus and lupus fatigue, as well as an incredible number of resources and tools for those living with this condition.
Lindsay Springer, DPT, MS, CPT – Licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy
Dr. Springer is a licensed physical therapist in practice in Portland, Oregon, and is living with lupus. Dr. Springer describes how physical therapists approach relieving pain and inflammation in order to address lupus fatigue. She is also the Master of Ceremony for this symposium.
