If you are in need of immediate emergency medical help, dial 911.
Do you have a healthcare provider?
If you already have a healthcare provider, start by talking with them. They know your medical history and can help you determine which resources and services are most appropriate for your situation.
If you do not have a healthcare provider, contact your county health agency, local clinics or hospitals. The lists organized by county can be found near the bottom of this page.
Do you have a primary care physician?
Your primary care provider (PCP) is often your most important advocate and can coordinate referrals, connect you with specialists, and help you navigate your care.

The Oregon Health Plan (OHP/Medicaid)
For many rural patients, especially those with chronic illnesses like lupus, the Oregon Health Plan (OHP) is Oregon's medical assistance program. It provides health care coverage for people from all walks of life. This includes working families, children, pregnant adults, single adults and seniors.

The Oregon Office of Rural Health (ORH) has been the coordinating body for rural and frontier health in Oregon since 1979. ORH partnered with Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in 1989 to increase its ability to bring statewide resources to rural areas.
The ORH is mostly a resource for hospitals, not patients. However if you have questions about rural hospitals and clinics in Oregon, you can call the office at 503-494-4450.
